Tony's Flashlight
Tony's Flashlight
When I was at Eielson, I carried a small, 2 "C" cell batteries, flashlight in my flight fatigues. One day during a mission, I dropped the flashlight and broke it to hell. Smashed the glass lens, dented the case, wouldn't work.
Called the AMT, Alan E. (Yogi) Faidley, gave him the flashlight, and told him to fix it. He took it and left without saying a word.
About a half-hour later he handed me the flashlight as good as new. He even replaced the broken lens with a plastic one. I have no idea where he found a piece of clear plastic to make the lens. After close to 50 yrs, I still have and use that flashlight.
Now that's what I call a good AMT. And not once did he badmouth the democrats.
